Roy Firestone's “Goodbye to You“, released in 1985 and played on the Dr. Demento show that same year, was a parody of Scandal's 1982 hit of the same name. Firestone sings in the voice of sports commentator Howard Cosell, with repurposed lyrics about Cosell's retirement from broadcasting.
