In 1988 Roland Casper began his career as a DJ at the innovative and now legendary Rave Club in Cologne and 2 years later, in 1990, The Space Club opens in Cologne, with Roland as resident DJ. In 1992 Roland moves to the Warehouse in Cologne, where as a resident DJ, he mixes alongside the most prominent DJs of the scene and begins to develop an international reputation. During this year, he first begins to work on his own projects, releasing his first 12“. “Feel The Speed“, under the pseudonym Exeter (released on “Spacemate Recordings“) and building his own studio where he records “Warehouse E.P.“, the first release under his real name. In addition to all of this, he starts the Psycho Thrill night with a partner at the Ballhaus in Bonn. In 1994, The Warehouse closes, but Psycho Thrill develops a huge cult following and an unparalleled reputation. In 1996, Roland starts his own label, Essence, in cooperation with Roadrunner Records.
