Today’s issue is about the Ryazan region. Ryazan is one of the oldest cities in Russia. It was founded in 1095. The city is located on the banks of the Oka River in Central Russia, about 200 km southeast of Moscow. Many celebrities were born in the area, including but not limited to, the first Russian Nobel Prize winner, the author of the music for the National Anthem of Russia, one of the best Russian lyric poets of the 20th century.
