Le Puy-en-Velay is a magnificent pearl of the French region #Auvergne. The first settlement on this site arose in the Roman era. The city gained fame in the Middle Ages as a major spiritual center. The first Christian church was built here in the IV century, and in the fifth - the first churches on the site of Notre Dame du Puy, the main temple of the city.
