Sudbury - could be Middlesex or Suffolk. “Nowadays, nothing stops our “nippy“ girl friends - “ M/S of girls in sports clothes tackling an obstacle course. They climb ropes, squeeze through barrels, grab apples from buckets with their teeth, etc. C/U of the spectators - seems like almost all women, some smoking. “Even hurdles can't - “ A hurdles race is shown - some footage in slow motion. “If you want to slow Adam down a bit, try “Sack Rugger“. Men with their legs in sacks have a game of Rugby. Shots of the game and of spectators. “But, the real feminine tussle appears when the tug-of-war opens.“ M/S of a group of women pulling on a rope. We then see the other teams pulling on the rope. Various shots of the tug of war. M/S of the girls relaxing after their exertions. One of the girls is spitting out some liquid she has drunk. Was an item in Eve's Film Review issue number 581. Note: “Nippy“ or “nippies“ refers to Lyons Corner House waitresses. FILM ID:964.1 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATH
