Geographical Location Can Influence the Types of Foreign Bodies Ingested by Dogs The ingestion of certain fruits like mangoes or oranges can be common during specific seasons. In this case, we present an endoscopy procedure for the removal of a 5.5 cm diameter orange ingested by a 20 kg Collie breed dog. The orange had become lodged in the lower esophageal sphincter of the animal and was successfully extracted using an Aohua Vet-FHD15 endoscope and a parallel rigid clamp. The use of rigid instruments in parallel with the endoscope enhances our gripping and traction capabilities.
