Sara Raza, Guggenheim UBS MAP Curator, Middle East and North Africa, introduces a rare New York appearance by Cairo-based artist, musician, and writer Hassan Khan at the Guggenheim Museum. Hassan’s concert features live improvisation with pre-recorded compositions that draw from a range of sonic traditions, including classical Arabic music, Minimalism, electronica, and noise. Following the performance, Nat Trotman, Curator, Performance and Media, engages in a brief discussion with the artist.
