This video poem is a dedication to the concept of Imago that was best described in Jungian psychology as the latest stage of a transformation, or the most complete becoming yourself. This concept refers to a middle-age crisis that we experience as we mature, it usually starts around 35 and can continue till 45 or more. In mature humans, it resolves into a metamorphosis similar to the one when a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. Imago is also an image of our beloved buried deep in our unconscious. Interestingly enough that these two are so closely interconnected. The image of our mature Self and the image of our Beloved. *** Do you recognize when I am deranged? My faded smile looks like an empty sound … Do you recognize when I am a stranger? Or , when I am suddenly your mother? Do you recognize me through the lives? Searching, praying, falling harder … Do you recognize your poor child? Do you recognize your lover? Don't you recognize me when the sea Brings a shell to you and there is a diamond. Don't you recognize me when a kiss Feels so deep that the pain is falling silent. Please, don't recognize me when I am strong, This may pass one day, or even faster… Don't you recognize how scream is long At a distance of a longing gesture… The enigma of eternal birth - Useless all the faces that disguise me. Do you recognize that I am so close - That you hardly ever recognize me.
