I also like that it has a cutaway, which is great for playing this kind of 12-string lead, but also great for when you want to double parts with a high capo to fatten up strumming arrangements in the studio. For this arrangement of Little Wing, I tuned the 12-string down a whole step, which gives the guitar a slinky, bluesier tone. Some of my favorite 12-string performances were by both Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Blind Willie McTell and Leadbelly are a couple of my other favorite 12-string players.
