The IRS is assigning domestic EIN number to Foreign Entities

Some of you have received domestic EIN numbers for your Foreign Trust instead of 98 numbers due to IRS errors. This isn’t Kristina or her staff’s fault. The IRS agents have different understandings of the rules. I will create a template for those who received the wrong EIN number to fax to the IRS for corrections. Many clients are affected by this mistake. I will send out mass emails with the template for you to use. It will be faster and more cost-effective if you fax the template to the appropriate IRS office yourself.
