He chats to the man who will fly the plane to tow him to altitude. He climbs into his cockpit and the roof is put on top. He honks his horn and says bye-bye. Captain Hawkes glider is towed up into the air (The voiceover tells us that after this flight the plane will be handed over to the Smithsonian Institute). Various shots of the glider in flight.
