Hand of Glory's and Lam's definitive requiem, and with such and unfortunately apt title for that. Not much should be needed to be said about this project, rather than it was one of the best that the Black Metal scene has seen in this century. Similarly to what I said about the Zarabanda Moon full-length, here Lam once again joined the best of both the traditionalism (in this case a very strong Blazebirth Hall influence), his vision of utmost decrepitude and rot of the modern man, and his creative genius. Always coming up with ridiculous interludes, that seem both nonsensical as they seem perfectly articulate and masterful in the way they invoke a deathly stench, and masterfully layering of the guitars and pulsating bass to create another masterpiece of a release. Another masterpiece of Lam, at the same level of “Bloodgate to Vestigial Dimensions“ and the triumphant hymns of Sanguine Eagle. May Lam's soul rot our minds eternally with these ordeals.
