Soak clams in saltwater to purge, rinse thoroughly, then boil the clams with clam broth ingredients until the clam shells open. Remove clam meat from shells and roughly chop it, and strain the clam broth. 2. Cut garlic into slices, and bacon, potato, celery, and onion into 1cm cubes. 3. In a pot, melt butter, then sautรฉ garlic, bacon, potato, celery, and onion for about 2 minutes. Add flour and stir until ingredients and flour are well-combined. Pour in 1 cup of clam broth and milk, then simmer for about 10 minutes until the potato is cooked. (tip. Stir the soup with a spatula while simmering over medium heat.) 5. Add chopped clam meat to the soup, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, simmer for another 2 minutes, then serve in bowls and sprinkle with parsley powder.
