This video is an all-encompassing tutorial that covers everything you need to know about micro crochet! Micro crochet is perfect for jewellery that's light enough to wear all day long, and it's a great small hobby that's easy to transport for crafting on the go! In this video, I cover: • tips for getting started • what types of threads and hooks I use • techniques you need to know (holding the thread, magic ring) • and a full walk-through of how to make a mini granny square You will need a basic understanding of crochet stitches for this tutorial. Some videos are linked down below if you’re new to crochet! Please let me know if there's anything else you have questions about that I don't cover! This is a very long and chatty video, so I have included chapters to jump to the sections you want to watch! ✨ Chapters ✨ 00:00:00 introduction 00:03:20 tips and tricks 00:06:13 materials 00:15:45 techniques 00:29:15 granny square round 1 00:36:30 granny square round 2 00:47:10 granny square round 3 00:55:45 granny square round 4 01:06:34 weaving in ends 01:15:10 wrap up ✨ My Granny Square pattern (it's my first time writing a pattern, so let me know if there's anything I can fix! ❤️)✨ Abbreviations: ch | Chain sc | Single Crochet dc | Double Crochet dc cluster | 3 double crochets • Round 1 • - Working into the magic ring, slip stitch to secure the yarn, then ch 2 (counts as 1 dc) - 2 dc, (ch 3, dc cluster) 3 times, ch 3 - Before joining the work, tighten the magic ring loops until the centre is closed (as per tutorial) - Slip stitch into the first dc to finish the round, slip stitch again to secure - Cut the yarn • Round 2 • - Join the new colour with a slip stitch at the beginning of the 3-chain space. - Work stitches into each of the corner chain spaces as follows: - Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc) 2dc, ch3, dc cluster into the same chain space, ch1, (-dc cluster, ch3, dc cluster- into the next corner 3-chain space, ch1) 3 times - Slip stitch into the first dc, slip stitch again to secure.
