Knightsbridge, London. M/S of several pieces of jewellery laid out on display. C/U of a hand picking through pieces of jewellery in a tray. M/S of two men sat at a desk looking through the jewellery, one of them is smoking a pipe. They are removing stones from pieces of jewellery. C/U of a man's hands as he picks a stone out of a brooch with a pair of pliers. The narrator explains they are working for the London designer Joseph Kutchinsky who breaks down antique jewellery to make new designs. C/U of hands using a pair of tweezers to pick up diamonds and fit them together into a bow shape. L/S of men sat at benches in the workshop. M/S as one man places a brooch on a cloth and picks up some tweezers. C/U as he uses the tweezers to fit the gold and platinum settings for the stones. M/S as a man uses an eyeglass to look at a piece of jewellery, he then picks up a small blowtorch and solders the brooch. C/U of the brooch being soldered. M/S of a man sat at a polishing machine.
