The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1980) Episode 10 - The Secret of the Buried Treasure (English Dub)

Unfortunately the English episodes are cropped to widescreen and have minor censorship, but they're still worth watching. Based on Mark Twain's literary masterpiece of the same name, this World Masterpiece Theater series follows the adventures of the title character and his best friend Huckleberry Finn. This series has depictions of African slavery, which was the norm in the time period that the book takes place in, but it's worth noting that Mark Twain was actually strongly opposed to slavery and that's reflected in episode 33 of this. This masterpiece of animation was co-written and directed by Nippon Animation veteran Hiroshi Saito, with Yoshifumi Kondo in the animation team before he left to join Studio Ghibli.
