Ensemble Amsterdam Sinfonietta, led by violinist Candida Thompson, and pianist Beatrice Rana play 'Piano Concert in D-Minor' by Johann Sebastian Bach in concert hall TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The concert is part of the series AVROTROS Vrijdagconcert. Italian pianist Beatrice Rana is ready to conquer the world: she won the Gramophone Young Artist of the Year Award and plays with all the best orchestra's in the world. According to her, classical music is at its best when played live in a concert hall: “Because of the adrenaline rushing through your body, the music in the concert hall gets a new colour, like the music only then reveals its biggest secrets.“ Bach is one of Beatrice's biggest heroes.
