Julian Assange’s brother Gabriel Shipton says the report alleging the CIA explored assassinating the Wikileaks founder “confirms what we have known for a long time”. “We’ve known about these plots for a very long time, this report sort of confirms them with over 30 sources, you know, 30 sources speaking to these reporters, that’s including ex-officials from the intelligence community in the US,” he told Sky News Australia. Mr Shipton said there were plots to kidnap and murder Mr Assange which went as high as the White House and the US intelligence community will “stop at nothing” to get the Wikileaks creator.
