Three people were killed and eight others seriously wounded in a stabbing attack at a festival on Friday night in the western German city of Solingen, police said. They said that a single, unidentified man attacked multiple people and that the perpetrator was still at large, adding that the attack occurred at a festival to honour the town's 650th anniversary. Hendrik Wuest, the premier of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, called the stabbing rampage was an “act of terror.“ “This attack was intended to spread terror’, Wuest said during a visit to Solingen, adding that the country was not wavering: “We will not be shaken.“ Meanwhile, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said “such acts must be harshly punished.“ For more info, please go to Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: Like Global News on Facebook HERE: Follow Global News on X HERE: Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: #GlobalNews
