China’s home-grown global satellite navigation system is one step closer to completion, with the launch of two more BeiDou-3 satellites early Monday morning. The lift-off took place at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwestern Sichuan Province. The new satellites will work with other BeiDou-3 satellites already in orbit, to improve positioning accuracy of the system. Officials say the BeiDou global system will be completed next year.
