This stand-up special is a feature length performance film. It is mostly satire of American exceptionalism as well as U.S. domestic and foreign policy. In it Judah Friedlander address: racism, sexism, fascism, climate change, health care, LGBTQ rights, drones, mass incarceration, imperialism, and many other human rights issues. He made this project on his own then sold it to Netflix. It was filmed in black & white in a low budget do-it-yourself documentary-style. The audio recording was done in a simple way with no separate laugh tracks added. To him, stand-up comedy is a technologically simple art form. For the viewer, it’s meant to capture the experience of sitting in a dark room, and from just 10 feet away, watching him do a stand-up show.
