Thousands lined the streets in central Edinburgh to watch ‘The People’s Procession’ ahead of a The National Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication to mark Their Majesty’s recent Coronation. The Honours of Scotland – or Scottish regalia - include the sword, sceptre and crown, were presented to The King during a service at St Giles Cathedral. In addition to The King, The Queen and The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, the Congregation was made up of people from various walks of life in Scotland including the First Minister, Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, Scottish Political Party Leaders, the People’s Procession, Church and Faith Communities and the charity and voluntary sectors.
