This is my personal Top 20 Best of Rob Hubbard C64 Songs, the GOD of the fantastic Commodore 64 sound chip SID (Sound Interface Device). For you who don't know who Rob Hubbard is: he is an english composer and has made the best and the greatest video game music during that old school retro period for the Commodore 64. On any given top 20 lists of all time for the C64, Rob Hubbard would have half of his songs on that said list. The fantastic SID apparently has similarities to early synths which is something Hubbard knew quite well. Stuff like Pulse Width Modulation , ring modulation and Low Frequency Oscillation were things that he understood. This allowed him to write some educational music software as his first commercial product, and from then on onwards he became the legend of old school retro video game music for the C64.
