The Koppenberg is one of cycling’s legendary climbs which defines the Tour of Flanders each spring, but in the winter it belongs to cyclocross. The eponymous race up the cobbled climb starts the 2019 DVV Trofee series, one of the world’s most prestigious CX race series in Belgium. It’s a course that suits the punchiest of riders and has the finish at the very top of the climb. Last year Toon Aerts took a memorable victory in front of Wout Van Aert.
