Pro-Palestine protesters have interrupted a Holy Saturday Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. Protesters rushed to the front of the church and were seen holding up a banner reading ‘Silence = Death’. Members of the church acted fast and removed the protesters from the church as they continued to shout, “free Palestine”. Matthew Menzies, 31, John Rozendaal, 63, and Gregory Schwedock, 35, were charged with disruption of a religious service. Brooklyn resident Arturo Ballester found the interruption of the cathedral during the mass disrespectful. “We all have to respect each other’s religions. What’s going on in Gaza is appalling, but there are other ways to show your point of view,” he said.
