Biden and his multi-multi-multiethnic background: I grew up in the Puerto Rican community. I had a very close relationship with the Greek-American community. Actually, I’m Joe Bidenopoulos. I grew up in the Irish Catholic community in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and in the Italian Polish community. When I say that I grew up in a black church, you know that I’m not joking. Persian culture is amazing. I am a student of Persian culture. I probably went to the synagogue more often than many of you. I came out of the black community. My family are Irish Americans. Not so different from the Palestinian people, one might say. I grew up in a synagogue in my state. Everyone in the city was either Polish or Italian. I grew up with a sense of dignity that my last name doesn’t end with “ski“. I grew up in an area where I distinguished that my name did not end with an “o“.
