Irina Kukolkina, the artist, designer, and decorator, was born in 1965 in Cheboksary. In 1987, she graduated from the Pedagogical Institute, where she studied at the Faculty of Arts and Graphics. She took part in regional exhibitions as a painter and collaborated with theaters as a costume designer. She took part in the restoration of the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow, as well as of the objects of cultural heritage of Russia. Irina spent much time teaching. She created her own original training course for schoolchildren. Since 1998, she’s been living and working in Moscow. Since 2019, after a long break, she recommenced participating in exhibitions. Irina paints in various techniques. Many of her paintings contain images of nude figures, which are very popular among the fans of Irina’s talent. Irina’s artworks are kept in private collections in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Cheboksary, and abroad.
