Boris Johnson’s “levelling up” slogan has been erased by the new Government, according to Labour. The former Prime Minister’s grandly named the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities as a key part of his 2021 agenda - but the it has now reverted to its old name, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Deputy PM Angela Rayner didn’t hold back on Tuesday, saying: “We’re done with gimmicks and slogans. It’s time for real public service and delivering for the British people. No more shortcuts, just hard work in the national interest.” Peter Cardwell speaks with political commentator Robert Taylor. #news #politics #uk #government #labour #keirstarmer #talk #talkradio
