On the evening of July 4, 2015, the Chinese kung fu master and film star Sifu Yu Cheng-Hui passed away just a month and a half shy of his 76th birthday. Yu Cheng Hui (aka. 于承惠, Yu Ching-Wai, Yue Sing-Wai, Hui Ching-Wai, Yu Chenghui) was born in China’s Shandong province on August 16, 1939, and began studying martial arts when he was 11. His favorite weapon was the jian (Chinese sword), and he won a couple of wushu championships over the years, including one for his Drunken Sword skills which would later be seen in his film work.
