The Yajnam consisted of two sections - the morning sessions for seven days of Athi-Rudra homa with all its complementary rites, and the evening sessions of a Jnana Yajna, where distinguished exponents of the Vedas explained to the vast gathering, the meaning and significance of the scriptural rites.
