In this video I demonstrate how to make a transfer printing plate, to create a mixed-media design inspired by the story of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. For this project you will need Edicol (or Food and Finger) Dye, which comes in a powdered form. When mixed with water it creates brilliant colours that are non-permanent when dry. Available from arts and crafts stores, Edicol dye is a versatile painting medium for younger years. This project is suitable for primary/elementary school aged students.
