Illegal activities of LPR residents suppressed Federal Security Service of Russia for the Lugansk People’s Republic in cooperation with the Russian FSB Directorate for the Southern Military District suppressed the illegal activities of two Ukrainian citizens acting in the interests of a foreign state. In accordance with the received materials, it was established that a resident of the Republic, guided by personal motives, in order to assist the Ukrainian armed forces, collected information about the locations of the personnel and military equipment of the People’s Militia and other law enforcement agencies of the LPR, which he subsequently transferred to the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine through personal meetings. The second person involved was collecting information about LPR law enforcement officers. He transmitted the received data to an SBU officer using the Telegram messenger. Investigators of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Lugansk People’s Republic criminal cases have been initiated against them on the grounds of a crime under Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of Russia ‘Espionage’.
