Lute went through a lot during the Hazbin Hotel season 1 finale and losing Adam not only heavily impacted her mental state but also affected her future as an exorcist. With the sudden and unexpected loss of the first man, Heaven’s elders decided that Lute was the only person that could rise to the occasion to take his place since she was his lieutenant and therefore was next in line to lead the exorcists.
