Happy birthday to our fearless spaceship captain #michelelonsdalesmith. You’re a rocket ship of love. Really you are. You’re the grace in moon and the Humanitarian in Arts. Like most, I’m forever in awe and thankful for not just your brilliance, but your devotion to developing it and the bravery to share it lovingly. Over the past 2 1/2 decades, I’ve watched you build and evolve your work into a tangible practice that could literally help every human on the planet who wants it. I’ve listened as your artist’s voice increased exponentially in clarity as you articulated the world as you see it. I’ve watched our company, other people who work with us, and of course, myself, change and grow in the most unfathomable ways. Today, your 65th, a day when most people retire, I can honestly say that you, and we, this company are literally just getting started sharing your gift. I’ve cut together this little glimpse of our time in Tobago to commemorate. It was a monumental trip. Brava and Happy Birthday. Sincerely, lovingly and collaboratively, your friend and partner in art, @randallmross @randallmross Thank you for the beautiful video of Gracemoon’s inaugural study retreat in my birthplace of Trinidad & Tobago. Thank you all who made the session a grand and beautiful success. We are now given the opportunity to make this an annual event, to partner with Tobago artists and actors, and to continue to create something impactful and helpful by extending our process globally. Thank you to my sister Geneviève, who encouraged me to continue to fight through the challenging parts of our company’s growth, by offering to take on the bulk of building our family home in Tobago from the ground up. And to insist it be big enough to hold my classes there and to house members of the company. So during the first two years of the pandemic, i ewas “stuck” in Tobago unable to fly out, and so I focussed on doing just that — taking over the building and finishing of our family home, and creating a place for the company to work. Thank you @ for building beds and planting trees and helping to make the Tobago home and studio possible. Thank you to my mind-blowing Smith Family. To those who travelled far and wide and did incredible work during the session Bianca Ceravolo, Francesco Serpico, Marta Della Lucia, Adrienne Wells, Giuditta Pascucci, Chiara Alonzo, Massimo Lisa, Sarah Sammartino - Thank you To Vanessa George who cooked up a scrumptious storm for the troops for over 17 days and evenings. To all our company members who sacrificed money, time, and love to come, who organized, built, participated in the most important study session of our company’s history. Thank you! Amrit Kaur Andrea Carter Augustus Oicle Brenna Stewart Damon Runyan Darren Herbert Daniel Chichogov Gabrielle Graham Hamza Haq Joel Ballanger Joris Jarsky Kristopher Turner Krista Morin Leah Doz Mitzi Jones Stephen Park Tattiawna Jones And to Randall Ross, my right hand and my left, in this art adventure together, words do not suffice so I will just say LOVE, m.
