The institute received reports that shaking was felt, but no loss of life or property was reported. A number of citizens in several governorates of Egypt felt the quake on Tuesday. The main affected areas were the northern cities of the Red Sea, Hurghada, Ras Ghareb and Ras Shukair, which were hit by the earthquake.
