This film from 1913, titled “Die Tangokönigin“ (the Tango Queen) offers a fascinating overview of multiple Tango stylings in its first years as a mainstream social dance. The scenario is that a husband and wife are having a bet as to who is the best dancer. This is a “Just the dance bits“ edit, but it is not my edit, nor can I claim credit for the music. I found it on a site titled “Histoire du tango Argentin“, but where he/she got it, I know not. It looks like a museum or archive restoration.
