Theme song opening : C'mon C'mon by The Von Bondies No copyright infringement intended. I leave here in this video, my admiration and homage to the people of New York that the last decade had to live with the ghosts left by September 11, all families with their psychological dilemmas wreckage left by the tragedy, these families and lives destroyed by the infamous terrorist attack, they cited very well portrayed in the series Rescue me to them I leave here all my affection, empathy and respect! Rescue Me was a American dramedy television series that premiered on the FX Network on July 21, 2004 and concluded on September 7, 2011. The series focuses on the professional and personal lives of a group of New York City firefighters in the fictitious Engine 99/Ladder 62 Harlem Firehouse. The show follows veteran firefighter Tommy Gavin (Denis Leary) and his troubled family as they deal with real life issues, either with post 9/11 trauma or domestic problems. Tommy has to struggle with the loss of his cousin and best friend Jimmy Keefe, who died on September 11, 2001, and frequently visits Tommy in visions. In the pilot episode, Tommy and his wife have already separated and Tommy has moved across the street. He is ill-tempered, self-destructive, hypocritical, manipulative, and a relapsed alcoholic. Although he has a poor grasp on his personal life, most of his actions are good intentioned and despite his devotion and care for others (and for the job), he is viewed by various family members and his fellow firefighters as self-centered. Besides the drama portrayed very well in the post after 11 September, the series had its comic relief through the group of workers put Harlem Firehouse, formed by a fireman bisexual charismatic women, a firefighter sarcastically hetero sex addict, a Latin that thought sexually attractive to the opposite sex with everyone, a black firefighter who suffered prejudice by itself, a lieutenant commander who nobody gave a damn and a food addict who fought against the balance, both worked together in the same post in New York. Rescue Me was created by Denis Leary and Peter Tolan, who also serve as executive producers and head writers, and is produced by Cloudland Company, Apostle, DreamWorks Television and Sony Pictures Television.
