As many as 92 counter-protesters have been arrested after clashes between the far-Right and police at Armistice Day events in London today, police have said. Large numbers of demonstrators from the far-Right have also been detained on several streets across London, as police attempt to stop them meeting with a pro-Palestinian march also taking place. #Protest #Police #London This afternoon more footage emerged of far-Right groups in clashes with police. The force said: “They’re part of a large group of counter protestors we have been monitoring who have tried to reach the main protest march. “We will continue to take action to avoid the disorder that would likely take place if that happened.” In a follow-up tweet they added: “In addition to the arrests made to prevent a breach of the peace in Tachbrook Street, we have made 10 arrests today for other offences. “These include possession of offensive weapons, affray and possession of drugs.” It comes as the Mayor of London has claimed Suella Braverman is to blame for disorder at Saturday’s Armistice Day events at the Cenotaph. Taking to Twitter, Sadiq Khan posted: “The scenes of disorder we witnessed by the far-right at the Cenotaph are a direct result of the Home Secretary’s words.
