SpaceX launches Starship SN15 prototype from Suborbital Pad A at Boca Chica (Starbase), Texas on Wed May 05, 2021 at 22:25 UTC. Starship SN15 conducted a test flight to approximately 10 kilometers in altitude, where it performed a propellant transition to the internal header tanks, which hold landing propellant, before reorienting itself for reentry and a controlled aerodynamic descent. SN15 relit 2 of its 3 Raptor engines, performed the flip maneuver on 2 engines, deployed its landing legs and succesfully landed on suborbital Landing Zone A, becoming the first ever Starship protoype to succesfully complete all test objectives and succesfully land softly on the Landing Zone. The objective of the test is to build on the lessons learned from the previous Starship test flights. Follow SpaceX on social media: All the rights from this video belong to SpaceX.
