It has been a lifelong dream of mine to play this song. Beyond any other piece of music I have ever heard, this composition by Yngwie J. Malmsteen has inspired and lifted me up. Through college and life, I listened to it before every exam, before dates, big events, etc. It has always given me incredible confidence in the face of my own insecurities and the unforgiving criticism of the world. Even during this very performance, an individual who has never believed in me was running around backstage telling everyone who would listen that I should stop playing this and do a “normal DJ set.“ At 0:48 you can even see one of my employees running offstage after dropping a note from him to stop - right on my DJ decks! No dice. I waited my whole life for this moment. And if there’s one thing Yngwie has taught me through his compromise. I think the 1650 people watching would agree.
