Preparations are underway for this year's Kennedy Center Honors. President Donald Trump revealed on Wednesday the names of the honorees for the December ceremony. Joining LiveNOW’s Andrew Craft is Christian Datoc, a White House reporter for the Washington Examiner, as we learn more about the President’s busy week. “The 48th Kennedy Center Honorees are outstanding people, incredible, we can't wait… in a few short months since I became chairman of the board, the Kennedy Center, we've completely reversed the decline of this cherished national institution,“ he said in his speech. Also, President Trump said he may declare a national emergency to maintain control of Washington, D.C.'s police force. The President said he would do this if Congress doesn't work with him to extend the current federalization plan. “Well, if it's a national emergency, we can do it without Congress. But we expect to be before Congress very quickly. And again, we think the Democrats will not do anything to stop crime, but we think the Republicans will do it almost unanimously. So we're going to need a crime bill. That we're going to be putting in, and it's going to pertain initially to DC. We're going to use it as a very positive example.“ Subscribe to LiveNOW from FOX!
