BRITAIN is waking up to a Labour landslide this morning, with Sir Keir Starmer set to be formally declared PM. Ending the election campaign like it began, Rishi Sunak is set to make a statement from Downing Street this morning. After his speech at No 10, Mr Sunak will travel to Buckingham Palace for an audience with the King, where he will formally tender his resignation. Shortly after that it is Sir Keir's turn to see the monarch at the palace. Elsewhere, Nigel Farage also became an MP for the first time, at the eighth attempt, by winning Clacton-on-Sea - one of four seats bagged by Reform UK so far. Though the party has so far fallen short of the 13 predicted in the exit poll. It comes as a desperately disappointing night for the Tories culminated in a number of party big beasts losing their seats, including a record-breaking eight Cabinet ministers. Continue reading...
