The core of this piece is a simple Meris Hedra’s pattern 3th 5th -1oct in major C. The more tricky thing is a parallel 1 oct / -1 oct guitar sound that comes through the Digitech Whammy V. The signal from the Whammy doesn’t go through the Meris - it goes parallel. Otherwise it would make a mess in the brain of the Hedra’s harmonizer. I split the guitar signal in three stereo lines that later are mixed in the RME Fireface UC. One line for dry guitar tone shapers Meris Hedra delays. The 2nd line is wet Hologram Microcosm. The 3rd line is the Strymon Bigsky reverb that I normally leave wet, but this time I added the Whammy prior the reverb and mixed dry/wet to get the desired balance. The bass part was recorded over the nylon guitar track using both Hedra and Whammy (-1 octave). I switched off all delays and reverbs, but let the Microcosm add some magic. Since I’ve recorded all the three stereo lines in DAW separately it was possible to balance volume and edit tracks later if needed. All footages were shot handheld with Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K, Canon 35 mm f2 IS, Fotga IR Cut Filter. Stabilized (gyrostab) and edited in Resolve 18.5 Thanks for watching!
