True Beauty - What is it

When Christ came to this world, He made it a point to fulfil the Law, the Prophets and love extravagantly regardless of an individual's social status or culture (Matthew 5:17.) He also had an average looking appearance - “For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.“ - Isaiah 53:2. Jesus Christ made it a point to illustrate that beauty on the outside is not as important as having a heart that seeks God, and yearns to love Him, as well as people. This is summed up by the commandments in Exodus 20. If we love as we have been instructed to do so in God's Word, we render those Commandments fulfilled. We are saved by grace, so it’s important to understand that whilst we need to strive to be as Christ-like as possible, we will still falter from time to time. Don’t let this get you down.
