Full title reads: “Near Pilau. ... otherwise it was a complete success! Dr Winkler's 'Stratosphere Rocket' - that was meant to link the Earth & Moon - gets 21 feet on its way - explodes - and now litters the landscape for miles around!“ On a beach men work on a small rocket (about 10 feet tall). One of them is wearing a white lab coat - looks like a scientist. The men pour fuel into containers. More shots of them standing by the rocket. C/U man working on the side of the rocket. Fuel poured into container - may be liquid oxygen. Men gather round table and look at charts. A weather balloon is prepared behind them. Fuel is pumped along a pipe. Long shot of men gathered around the rocket. A small group of observers are gathered to watch. Pan down - a man standing on step ladders - works on the rocket.
