In the past, many new players did not know how different ammo types work. The only way to find out was to either Test Drive or go to Battle and watch the hit camera. Now that the Shell Animations in War Thunder have been introduced, player can now take a look at them in the hanger. If you go to the modification tab of any ground vehicle and hover your curser over different ammo types, these animation will show up in addition to showing other parameters.
