Stratovarius - Revolution Renaissance (Full Demo Album) 2006

These were the demos that were meant to be included in their R... R... somewhat cancelled album. I say somewhat because after Timo Tolkki's departure from the band, he decided to form a new super-band called Revolution Renaissance, in which's 1st studio album and long-lenght (renamed as New Era) includes these 10 songs, but re-recorded with Pasi Heikkilä on the bass, Joonas Puolakka on the keyboards, Mirka Rantanen on the drums and Michael Kiske Pasi Rantanen and Tobias Sammet on the vocals. These Strato demos were written in 2006, composed in 6 weeks until august, and the drums were recorded in Dortmund, Germany, in october from the same year. (Source: ) What's interesting about this is that in the “ making of“ videos and some interviews they state that there were 11 composed songs, while in this demo album (as in the final New Era 2008 album) there are only 10 of them.
