I found a CD-rom drive from the old computer. So I tried making a CD-player from it. CD-rom drives use 12V and 5V voltage. So I used an LM2596 buck module to convert the 12V voltage into 5V. I also use the pam8403 amplifier module. It has a capacity of 3W 3W at 5V. When I put the CD in the drive, it just turned a moment and then stopped. I took it off and found the play button was hidden. Soldering play button. Turn on the power ........... bingo ... it worked. In the following video I will create a controller for this cdrom drive, adding more functions such as timer. play, stop etc ... wait for me. All my projects are free, I design them on EAGLE 6.0. I uploaded it to Google drive. You need to use a web browser to download the file and open the file with winrar software (extract) on the PC. Open schematic file (.SCH) and PCB file (.BRD) with EAGLE software. Hope you enjoy my videos and projects.
