In this video I show you how to create a dramatic and cinematic look using traditional top down lighting with some extra flare. Lighting your subject from overhead is a simple and classic way to create drama and is used a lot to imply an oppressive or mysterious feeling. I'm using the Litepanels Gemini 1x1, Astra 6X, and Lykos panel lights, but you can recreate this look using COB lights or other panels at a lower budget. One of my favorite things about this setup is how flexible it is, since you can use anything from a single, bare light to a complete multi-light setup with external diffusion panels. If you like this lighting setup tutorial, leave a comment and let me know, and let me know what type of lighting setup you want to see next. =========== == LINKS == =========== Litepanels Gemini 1x1 - Litepanels Astra 6X - Litepanels Lykos - Anton Bauer Titon 150 V-Mount Battery - Intellytech Fast Frame Diffusion Kit - Laofas Air-Cushioned Light Stands - Impact Heavy Duty C-Stand - Impact Boom Arm - Impact Filled Sand Bags - Sony a7S III - Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 - Freewell Magnetic Glow Mist Diffusion Filter - Cheap Fog Machine - Fog Juice - Compare these lights with other lights using my Light Comparison Tool: Like the music in my videos?
