Moment bridge collapses in Baltimore

Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge has collapsed into the water after a ship collided with it early on Tuesday morning. Agencies received 911 calls reporting a vessel travelling outbound from Baltimore that had struck a column on the bridge, causing it to collapse. Multiple vehicles were on the 47-year-old bridge at the time, including one the size of a tractor trailer, Kevin Cartwright, director of communications for the Baltimore Fire Department, said.
